Types of Acid Etching:

N.B. All patterns (standard and custom) can be produced in any of the following surface finishes.

Stainless Steel Etched: Super Mirror or Satin Polished Stainless Steel can be etched resulting in either a reflective or Satin contrast to the grey frosted etch area.

Coloured Stainless Steel Etched: Coloured Mirror or Coloured Satin Stainless Steel can be etched resulting in either a coloured reflective or Satin contrast to the grey frosted etch area.

Phantom Etched: Super Mirror or Satin Polished Stainless Steel can be etched, then coloured, resulting in either a coloured reflective or Satin contrast to the coloured frosted etch area.

Colour Stripping: Coloured Mirror or Satin Stainless Steel can be masked off to a required design. The unmasked areas are then returned to the natural Stainless colour. With Coloured Mirror two contrasting mirror finishes are achieved without compromising the overall mirror reflection.

Custom Patterns:

Rimex offers architects and designers the ability to design your own acid etch pattern. The artwork needed for any acid etched job would be ideally created using Adobe Illustrator, the best alternative
being AutoCAD. All we need is a good quality scaled drawing.
